Assistant venue manager, The Vaults

First whisky memory

Being from the United States, I’ve enjoyed many bourbons from drinking age, but a whole new world opened up when I moved here to Scotland and ventured into the world of Scotch!

Favourite whisky-drinking music

If I have any music in the background, it will be good old-fashioned rock. Sometimes we enjoy a dram by the fire in the garden, where I’ll put on some light tiki bar music to set the mood!

Best box sets

I’m a huge fan of Breaking Bad… I’ve probably seen the entire series five or six times by now.

Fantasy whisky tasting companions I’m a huge music fan, so I’d love to share a dram with the man himself, Willie Nelson (who also wrote my favourite whisky song Whisky River).

Most memorable dram Cask No. 66.140: Hickory Smoked Lobster. The perfect combination of sweet, smoke and maritime saltiness for my palate.

Most used emoji Upside-down smiley face – for when you don’t know exactly which emoji to use! 🙃

Guilty pleasure Chocolate milkshake.

Dream destination I’ve always wished I would visit Japan, it’s top of the bucket list for me as well as my wife, Axelle.

Strangest food

Octopus! I’m normally an adventurous eater, but something about it doesn’t sit well with me.

Favourite bar I love the Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh, I’ve never been in a dungeon bar that has its own cinema!

If you were a flavour profile, what would you be, and why? If it’s anything like my sense of humour, it’ll be Spicy & Dry.
