The countdown is on…

Well that’s Hallowe’en out of the way – so the countdown to the festive season is very much on. Thankfully we’re well ahead of the game here at the SMWS, with bumper Outturns coming out this month, lots of possible Society gifts for your loved ones and – if you’re fortunate enough to live near one of our four Members’ Rooms in the UK – a packed schedule of tastings and events lined up. Check out Mads’s feature where she’s pulled everything festive together in one place.

If you’re not near one of the Members’ Rooms, there’s a good chance you’re close to one of our many partner bars around the world. This month Anthony Delcros features a fantastic new addition to the roster, The Commercial in South Yorkshire, but with more than 100 bars around the world you should be able to find some Society whisky on the bar, and a warm welcome to SMWS members.

Elsewhere this month we’re singing the praises of another relatively ‘under-the-radar’ distillery in Dailuaine, and we pay a visit to the innovative distillery of Wilderness Trail in Kentucky.
