Home or away
Does it still feel like something of a novelty? We’re back out and about, enjoying drams in person, propping up a bar again or attending our first whisky festival in what feels like an age.
It’s fantastic to be back out and about, but at this time of year it’s also very comforting to hunker down at home and entertain friends and family in your very own tasting environment.
For this issue, we put a shout out to members to send in examples of their own ‘whisky dens’. We’re delighted to show you some of the results of the passion and commitment on display when it comes to sharing the Society love at home – as well as some tips on how to play host to your whisky-loving pals.
Of course, if you’re going to be organising your own whisky evening, some relevant music is always a good idea. With that in mind, we’re previewing a new release from the Society’s very own Whisky Bard, Robin Laing – along with a chance to win a signed copy of his latest album, Up in the Dram Room.
If we’re into November that pretty much marks the approach to Christmas, and with restrictions lifted this year is going to be a bumper – we have a round-up of everything that’s happening at the Society and a peak ahead to what’s on the cards as we get into December.
Whether you’re venturing out in person or still prefer to coorie in at home, the Society has got you covered and there’s a wealth of reading in Unfiltered to keep you entertained and informed.
Cheers ,
